Summary:

The Operations and Projects Management Intern at TAHMEF plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s operations and project management efforts. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and organizational efficiency within a dynamic and mission-driven environment.

Job Description:

We are seeking an Operations and Projects Management Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will support our operations and project management efforts, ensuring the smooth implementation of our initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects to achieve their objectives.
  2. Support the development of project timelines, work plans, and deliverables.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  4. Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and events.
  5. Prepare project documentation, including progress reports and presentations.
  6. Conduct research and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  7. Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenditure.
  8. Support administrative tasks related to project management, including data entry and documentation.
  9. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  3. Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also thriving in a team environment.
  4. Good public speaking skills and confidence in engaging with stakeholders.
  5. Coachable and open to learning new skills and concepts.
  6. Fluent in English and Swahili, both written and verbal.
  7. Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  8. Proficient in technology and comfortable using digital tools.
  9. Passionate about health innovation and making a positive impact in underserved communities.
  10. Quick learner, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Creative thinker with problem-solving skills.

 

Duration: 6 months (starting with 3 months remote, subject to change based on circumstances).

Compensation: Monthly allowance and monthly internet package.

Location: Flexible (remote and on-site work).
